I made roasted “Elote” corn for dinner!
Arrived in NYC! Got up super early today to fly out and am a little sleepy since We travelled from Savannah yesterday. Too much travel can really wear you out!
Right now, I’m sitting in Bryant Park. Wonderful place to people-watch and they have ping-pong tables set up for the summer. I want to play, but I need a partner!
Looking forward to seeing some Elon folks tonight. It seems like a lot of people are moving to the city all at once - which just makes me want to get up here all the sooner.
Leaving for the Hamptons for some Fourth of July madness tomorrow! That should be fun.

So, back in the day, I kept a Xanga blog. This was a trend at my high school in my circle of friends. We would all write about what went on in our lives, what happened on the weekend, our feelings, and our friends and families. This was a fun practice, as we could all comment on each others’ posts and send feedback. I really enjoyed it. In later high school, Xanga kind of fell by the wayside and we all left our blogs to sit in Internet history, untouched.
I want to get back into the practice of blogging about my life again and I think Tumblr is the perfect place to accomplish this. A wonderful community exists on this site (even a few of my real-life friends!) and I am eager to let y’all read my posts. At one point, I attempted to keep a separate journal blog called Tucker’s Journal that never really amounted to anything. I’ve found that I can be more honest and open when I am anonymous and it’s possible I may move to a separate blog in the future, depending on how this works out. But, for now my posts are going to show up here on Musical Rambling.
Here goes nothing!
So, I’m working for the summer at “Stephen Foster The Musical” in Bardstown, KY. It’s gone great so far. I’ve been here for almost 3 weeks and we opened the show last Saturday. It’s a big deal here. People come from all over the world to see the Stephen Foster show. For some reason, it is huge with the Japanese. They love this show. Anyway, the people here are great, the town is cool, and we have auditions for “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” today. So hopefully that goes well!

Went up to Stowe, VT with my sister and some of her friends from Princeton over this inter-session break and had lots of fun! One of her good friends’ family owns a mountain house up there on Mt. Mansfield and we stayed the past week. Tried snowboarding, ate some really good food (cooked by Princetonians) and simply relaxed. Really a good time. I’d love to go back!
After the trip, we drove back to Princeton and I spent the night there and Ginny showed me around some and I met more of her friends there until taking the train into Newark and flying to Raleigh.
I’m back at Elon now and we start classes on Tuesday - along with “The Country Wife” again. I’m looking forward to this semester and all the classes I’m taking. I have to order books first, though…
Cheers!
